Highguard Axe

This asset was the bane of my existence and went through a ton of iteration. Before Highguard was Highguard, we were leaning more 'survival game'. Harvesting and the Axe in general were a much more prominent feature in the game. We eventually had to pivot to what we ended up shipping for many many reasons. Regardless, this was a fun iconic gadget to try to make iconic and unique for our IP. The last 5 concepts where I direction I was personally trying to push for, but we eventually went back to the more organic design on that first page.
